ABOUT
Mill Cottage Bunkhouse is situated in the Northern Pennines village of Nenthead, which is the second-highest village in England and sits in an Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The Bunkhouse is located directly opposite the historic Nenthead Mines site and was once part of the Mill Manager's cottage. The surrounding area is classified as a Scheduled Ancient Monument and also a Site of Special Scientific Interest.
The Nenthead Mine site is the largest and most important site associated with the lead mining industry of the North Pennines. During the spring and summer months, volunteers from the mine site run underground tours, teaching the history of the mines. For more information or to book a place on a tour, please visit the Nenthead Mines website.
The Bunkhouse is also located on the Coast 2 Coast cycle route and is next to Isaac's Tea Trail, making it the perfect stop over for cyclists and walkers. It is also an ideal base to explore further afield, such as the Lakes, County Durham, Northumberland and Scotland.
